Family Games 2019

Family Games 2019 is a family-oriented event comprising of games and workshops held at the premises of Our Tampines Hub!

In celebration of Singapore Bicentennial — marking the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Sir Stamford Raffles. It comprises a series of family-oriented games: Mega-Inflatable Race, mini Golf, Family Futsal and more at Town Square!. The event is coupled with Parent-Child workshops engineered by AITIA Institute on working “Towards Building a Successful Family”.

Whispers from the Dragon’s Teeth Gate

Commissioned by Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and presented by Dance Ensemble Singapore Arts Company (DES Arts), in collaboration with Sri Warisan Som Said Performing Arts, Whispers from the Dragon’s Teeth Gate is a dance-drama that brings us into a mystical realm of rediscovering our Island’s heritage, as we commemorate the bicentennial year. The full-length original dance production features influences by renowned Indonesian choreographer Didik Nini Thowok (artistic advisor), and incorporates the touches of Mr. Kua Bak Lim (historical advisor), Mr. Han Laoda (script advisor), and Peranakan costume designer Mr Raymond Wong (costume advisor).
Singapore has many known names throughout our recorded history. As a young Independent State, our inhabitance has continued to mature and cultivate shared memories with our neighbours in Southeast Asia. Having transformed from an island of immigrants to a country with multi-ethnic cultures, the harmonious coexistence amongst our people is the fruit of our cultural success accumulated over 200 years.

Satay Night Live

Satay Night Live is back! Relive the good old days of the Old Satay Club at Esplanade Park in the 70s, where the aroma of succulent sticks of sataygrilled over hotbeds of charcoal filled the air and bellies of many.

This special edition of Satay Night Live, held at The Incubator at Esplanade Park, celebrates Singapore’s love for our local cuisines combined with entertainment for all throughout the evening. Come on down and show your support and appreciation of #OurHawkerCulture!

Feast on satay, served with ketupat (rice dumpling), freshly-cut onions and cucumber slices, and sweet-and-spicy peanut sauce, sup kambing (mutton soup), mee soto (spicy noodle soup dish), otah (grilled fish cake), and more, while local bands serenade you under the intimate setting of The Incubator. Durian-lovers, you’re not forgotten! Enjoy the King of Fruits with your family, friends and loved ones as you recline under the stars at the adjacent Cenotaph Green.
